Adoption of an implementing act establishing the template for the reports pursuant to Art. 12.

There is currently no clear public evidence that the Commission has adopted the implementing act establishing the reporting template under Art. 12(4). However, the reporting templates are expected to be linked to the launch of a dedicated European Commission platform/transparency database intended to collect methane-related communications, reports and information submitted by Member States under Regulation (EU) 2024/1787.

Adoption of implementing acts recognising MRV equivalence for third countries exporting crude oil, natural gas or coal to the European Union.

There is currently no publicly available evidence that the Commission has adopted any implementing acts recognising MRV equivalence for third countries exporting crude oil, natural gas or coal to the European Union under Art. 28(6).

Adoption of an implementing act establishing the procedure and requirements for the evidence to be provided by third countries to demonstrate MRV equivalence.

There is currently no publicly available evidence that the Commission has adopted the implementing act establishing the procedure and evidentiary requirements for third countries to demonstrate MRV equivalence under Art. 28(6).

Establishment of a rapid reaction mechanism to address high methane-emitting events, including notification to relevant Member States or third countries and requests for information and corrective measures.

There is currently no publicly available evidence that the Commission has established the rapid reaction mechanism required under Art. 31(2).

Publication of methane performance profiles of Member States, Union producers, importers and relevant third countries, based on data available in the methane transparency database.

Since the Methane Transparency Database under Art. 30(1) has not yet been launched and is scheduled by the Commission for September 2026, methane performance profiles under Art. 30(3)-(4) cannot yet be published.
